Taking the test simulation is one of the best ways to test your device and internet for the remotely proctored CLT! It will also help you become familiar with the remote proctoring steps and interface. Follow the steps below to make sure you’re all set for test day. You are welcome to have a parent help with this walkthrough if you would like!
Note: The test simulation is only available till midnight the day before test day. You will not be able to access it on the day of the exam.
The pre-test portion of the test simulation will take 10-15 min, and it is identical to the pre-test for the remotely proctored exam. Once you complete the pre-test, you will see a full practice test (same content as Practice Test #2) follows!
Use the same set up you will have on test day. Take the test simulation on the same device and from the same location you plan to use, that way you can check to make sure everything works properly.
**Log in to your CLT account and click the "Take a Test Simulation" button.**
You can find that under "Upcoming CLT Test" on your main dashboard.
Be aware that the test simulation will only appear if you are registered for a remotely proctored exam.
Clicking that button will launch CLT’s LockDown browser. If you have issues launching it, please read the above page or contact [email protected] for assistance!
You might need to log into your CLT account again. If you do, reselect “Test Simulation” from under the test date. This will open the page to enter the test access code! The code is in the paragraph above the box.
Go through the Honor Code and pre-test steps. Test Simulation recordings are not reviewed; however, we recommend going through the pre-test steps exactly as you would on test day. Please see this page for more information on what the requirements look like.
Once you complete the pretest, we recommend taking the entire practice test. Review your results and take note of the kinds of questions that you need to work on.
Thank you for taking the CLT! If you run into any issues, reach out to us at [email protected].
