Introduction

This manual provides instructions for preparing and administering the online CLT and CLT10. Administrators and proctors must follow these guidelines to ensure a consistent testing experience across all sites.

Please follow the proctor script exactly. Failure to comply with CLT administration guidelines may result in students' test scores being voided or withheld.

Announcements & Updates

LockDown Browser

• Both In School and Remotely Proctored CLT and CLT10 exams must now be administered with LockDown Browser. Information on using LockDown Browser can be found on our Proctor Guide. For directions on how to launch LockDown Browser, see our guide here.

Start time window

• The In School CLT and CLT10 administration must start between 7am and 11am local time. Proctors must ensure students are testing simultaneously.
• Students taking the Remotely Proctored CLT and CLT10 should take their exams between 7am and 7pm ET.

Test Day Anomaly Report

• Please submit a test day anomaly report within 24 hours of the test. Reports submitted later may not be processed prior to our post-test data analysis, so students with late-reported tech issues may be initially flagged and scores withheld. Individual test day anomaly reports should be submitted for the following types of issues:
  • Different start time (late arrivals, etc.)
  • Restart/logged/backed out of the test
  • Re-entered a section access code
  • Student had to repopulate their answers
  • Computer restarted/updated
  • Received additional time (to account for a tech delay, medical emergency, etc.)
  • Rules violations, time violations, unfair advantages
• General test day anomaly reports are used to note any issues that affected timing or completion of the exam for an entire room or school (power outage, widespread internet issues, inclement weather, etc.) </aside>

Administrator Info, Registration, and Deadlines

Communication and CLT School Administrator Accounts

Each school must designate a CLT point of contact. This individual will receive all test-related communications and may share them with other school administrators as needed.

Reminders about deadlines and test-day preparation are sent regularly in the weeks leading up to each exam. These emails begin about eight weeks before the test date.

Multiple school staff members may request a CLT School Administrator account. with an account, users can register students, upload rosters, and view scores and analytics. To request an account, email [email protected].

Importing Student Rosters

Click here for instructions on importing your student roster. These instructions will also be emailed to your school’s point of contact ahead of test day.

Dates and Deadlines

Test-specific dates and deadlines, including registration, accommodations requests, and score release, are available online. Your point of contact will also receive reminder emails with this information.

Exam Availability and Make-Up Dates

In School exam administration must start between 7am and 11am local time. Students must test simultaneously and complete the exam in one setting in accordance with the exam timing below.

Remotely Proctored exams are available between 12:00 AM Pacific Time on the test day and they close at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

To ensure timely completion, Remotely Proctored testers should plan to finish student exams by 10:00 PM Pacific Time on the test day.
